The 4th European Student Conference on Behaviour & Cognition 2017 will be held on 7-8 September 2017 at the Faculty of Science of University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice, Czech Republic.

The University of South Bohemia is a public university specialized in education and research with a focus on natural, humanist and social sciences. This young but rapidly evolving university is therefore a right place for student run and led conference.

This conference will bring together early-career researchers from different disciplines of behaviour and cognition to present and discuss their work in Animal Behaviour, Psychology, and Cognition. The main aim is to encourage MSc and PhD students to take part in and contribute to a stimulating academic discussion about the most recent developments in their research fields.

The conference program will offer two keynote speakers – Dr. Kate Arnold and Prof. Thomas Bugnyar, renowned scientists in the fields of animal personality and cognition. Over the course of the both days, participants will hear various talks by fellow peers and have the opportunity to take part in dialogues on a broad range of topics of scientific importance. Finally, the program will include sessions with posters, which will enable all participants to present and discuss their research.

Informal and friendly atmosphere of Behaviour & Cognition 2017 will allow the delegates to create new and important connections and get useful critique and ideas from academics outside of their own research group.

We look forward to meeting the young scientists from across Europe working on animal and human behaviour and cognition.

Registration is free. For further information on delegates and keynote speakers selection criteria see the Policy.
